Travel Hospital Pharmacist - Medford, WI

This travel pharmacist opportunity in Medford, WI, offers a dynamic role in a 75-bed hospital setting. The assignment begins ASAP and lasts for 13 weeks or more, providing valuable experience in a diverse inpatient pharmacy environment.

Schedule:

• Primarily 10-hour day shifts
• Weekend rotations involve 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities include:

• Managing multiple concurrent duties within the inpatient pharmacy, such as verifying EPIC orders, reviewing technician work, and responding to pharmacist inquiries
• Dispensing inpatient and outpatient IV medications, inpatient unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy
• Supporting a patient census of 30-40 in various clinical areas including inpatient and outpatient surgery, med/surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, and the emergency department

Desired Experience:

• Proven expertise as a pharmacist in a hospital setting
• Proficiency with EPIC pharmacy systems
• Ability to handle a fast-paced workload and multitask effectively
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with healthcare teams and pharmacy staff
• Experience with both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations, including chemotherapy preparation
