Travel Hospital Pharmacist in Medina, OH

A 13-week travel opportunity exists for an experienced Pharmacist at a 500-bed hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, with potential for extension. This role offers evening shifts with options for 4x10 or 5x8 schedules. Initial training will be conducted during day shifts to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Location: Cincinnati, OH
Schedule:

• Evenings
• Choice of 4x10 or 5x8 shifts
• Day shift training

Responsibilities:

• Verify and check medication orders, including sterile compounding and dose accuracy
• Oversee sterile product preparation and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Manage Pyxis inventory and perform accurate order verifications
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, responding to questions from patients and doctors
• Participate in IV room operations, including handling complex cases involving ECMO and CRRT
• Provide consults and antibiotic dosing recommendations in a fast-paced hospital setting

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio Pharmacist license
• Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in a large academic hospital environment
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system
• Strong knowledge and experience with sterile compounding processes
• Skilled in medication order verification, dosing, and clinical pharmacy services
