Travel Hospital Pharmacist in Mendocino, CA

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Mendocino, CA, offering a 26-week assignment with day shifts on a 7-on/7-off schedule, from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. This role requires a California pharmacy license and at least one year of hospital pharmacy experience to ensure effective medication management and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support their daily activities.
• Consult with nurses and physicians regarding medication therapies and patient care.
• Assist with chemotherapy medication preparation and verification when needed.
• Utilize EPIC and Omnicell systems for medication management and documentation.
• Participate in on-call duties from 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM for approximately 6 or 7 nights per pay period.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California pharmacist license.
• Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience.
• Familiarity with chemotherapy protocols is a plus.
• Proficient in EPIC and Omnicell systems.
• Availability for full-time schedule including day shifts and on-call responsibilities.

Schedule:

• Day shift, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, 7 days on / 7 days off.
• On-call shifts from 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM for designated nights during the pay period.
