PRN Pharmacist - Behavioral Health

Location: New Paltz, NY

Schedule: 12 days per week | Flexible scheduling
Position: PRN / Ongoing

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate dosing, interactions, and safety.

• Dispense medications accurately and provide patient counseling and education.

• Support patients managing behavioral health medications and complex treatment regimens.

• Work with prescribers to resolve medication questions, order clarifications, and clinical concerns.

• Assist with medication adherence, access, and prior authorization needs as applicable.

• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.

• Oversee and support pharmacy technicians and daily pharmacy operations.

• Follow NYS pharmacy regulations and established pharmacy policies.

Qualifications

• Active, clear New York Pharmacist license

• Previous behavioral health pharmacy experience required

• Strong knowledge of behavioral health medications

• Experience with complex medication regimens

• Strong prescription verification and patient counseling skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Reliable and available for ongoing PRN and PTO coverage
