Multiple Pharmacist Opportunities Richmond, VA Area

A 460-bed Level I trauma center in the Richmond area is seeking multiple Pharmacists to join their hospital pharmacy team. Several positions are available across a variety of shifts, providing flexibility to accommodate your scheduling needs.

Locations:

• Richmond, VA (Near Midlothian)

Available Shifts:

• 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• 4:00 PM to 3:30 AM
  *Note: The facility is open to flexible scheduling to suit qualified candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapies
• Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and adjustments
• Utilize pharmacy IT systems including Meditech, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and operate Pyxis medication dispensing units

Qualifications:

• Current Virginia Pharmacist license required
• Experience with hospital pharmacy operations preferred
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Proficiency in Meditech or similar hospital IT systems is a plus
• Ability to work independently and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced environment
