Hospital Pharmacist - Midlothian, VA

A prominent 460-bed Level I trauma center is seeking two dedicated night shift pharmacists to support their dynamic hospital pharmacy team. This contract opportunity is based in Midlothian, VA, offering a week-on, week-off schedule that provides balanced work and personal time.

Location: Midlothian, VA
Schedule:

• Night shift hours: 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 7 days on, 7 days off schedule

Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support
• Consult regularly with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapies
• Manage pharmacokinetics and adjust dosing as needed
• Utilize hospital IT systems including Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis to deliver efficient pharmacy services

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Pharmacist license required
• Experience working in hospital or acute care settings preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech Magic and other pharmacy software systems is advantageous
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary teamwork
