Outpatient Pharmacist in New Albany, IN
Engage in a rewarding role as a Pharmacist supporting an in-house outpatient pharmacy within a federally qualified health center (FQHC) serving behavioral health patients. This contract position offers the chance to apply your community pharmacy skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment, with potential to transition into a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) role.
Location:
- New Albany, IN
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Duration:
- Immediate start with an 8-week assignment, possible contract-to-hire opportunity
Responsibilities:
- Manage typical community pharmacy duties, including dispensing and verification of prescriptions
- Perform multi-dose and blister packing to support patient medication adherence
- Collaborate with two experienced pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
- Utilize the Pioneer pharmacy system for accurate and timely prescription processing
- Work within a newer pharmacy setup, part of a large FQHC system, serving approximately 100 prescriptions daily
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Recent community pharmacy experience is essential
- Exposure to 340B program preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work effectively with behavioral health patient populations is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills to support team collaboration
