An inpatient hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist I Staff Pharmacist for a direct hire opportunity in Utica, NY. This role demands a detail-oriented professional to support medication management and enhance patient care within the inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders for correct dosing, route, frequency, and check for interactions, allergies, or contraindications.
• Accurately dispense, prepare, and label medications, including unit-dose, IV admixtures, and controlled substances.
• Prepare sterile compounded products following USP standards and facility protocols.
• Provide drug information and guidance to physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff.
• Monitor patient medication profiles to identify and resolve potential drug-related issues.
• Assist with pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storage.
• Ensure compliance with New York State and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Support medication safety initiatives and quality improvement programs.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians while maintaining a safe and organized pharmacy environment.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Active and valid New York State pharmacist license in good standing.
• Experience in hospital or inpatient pharmacy settings.
• Proficiency in sterile compounding and intravenous medication preparation.
