Hospital Pharmacist in New Orleans, LA

A healthcare facility in the New Orleans area is seeking a Critical Care / Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position, starting June 2. The role involves providing specialized pharmaceutical care in a Level 1 trauma environment to support the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2.

Schedule and Location:

• Days, 7:00 AM 3:00 PM, every other week coverage
• Location: New Orleans, LA (East Jefferson General Hospital)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver critical care pharmaceutical services in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the CV ICU and Medical ICU2
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for patient documentation and medication management
• Apply clinical judgment for medication therapy in trauma and critical patients

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a Critical Care/Clinical Pharmacist in a Level 1 trauma center
• PGY-2 residency preferred but not mandatory
• Current Louisiana pharmacist license required
• Board Certification preferred, though not compulsory
• Experience or willingness to travel; first-time travelers are welcome
