Staff Pharmacist Behavioral Health (PRN/Ongoing)

Location: New Paltz, NY

Position: PRN / Ongoing
Schedule: 12 days per week, flexible 

RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist for an ongoing PRN opportunity with a behavioral health pharmacy. 

Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosing, interactions, and clinical appropriateness; safely dispense medications.

• Communicate with prescribers regarding medication questions, clarifications, and therapy concerns; assist with medication access and prior authorizations when applicable.

• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation while ensuring compliance with New York pharmacy regulations and pharmacy policies.

• Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians and support staff.

• Provide patient counseling and education while supporting behavioral health medications, complex therapies, adherence, and continuity of care.

Requirements

• Active, clear New York Pharmacist license

• Behavioral health pharmacy experience required

• Strong knowledge of behavioral health medications

• Experience managing complex medication regimens

• Strong prescription verification and patient counseling skills
