IV Sterile Compounding Inpatient Pharmacist - New Pine Creek, Oregon
This position seeks a pharmacist skilled in inpatient hospital pharmacy practices with experience in sterile compounding and familiarity with USP 797 clean room guidelines. The role is based in a critical access hospital environment, offering a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care within a smaller patient census setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Oregon pharmacy license
- Proven inpatient pharmacy experience
- Expertise in sterile compounding adhering to USP 797 standards
- Proficiency with Cerner for order entry
- Experience working with automation systems such as Omnicell
Location:
- New Pine Creek, OR
Responsibilities:
- Serve as staff pharmacist covering scheduled shifts and specific coverage weeks over a 13-week per diem contract
- Manage medication dispensing and preparation following hospital protocols and compliance standards
- Collaborate with a small pharmacy team including two daily pharmacy technicians
- Ensure accurate and timely medication order entry and review using Cerner
- Support sterile compounding processes consistent with USP 797 clean room guidelines
- Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality protocols within a critical access hospital setting with a 25-bed capacity and average census of 10 patients
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- No on-call responsibilities
- Per diem coverage during contracted weeks, over a 13-week period
