Retail Pharmacist - Norman, OK

Provide expert pharmaceutical care as a Pharmacist supporting diabetes pharmacy clinics in the Oklahoma City area, with a primary focus on Lawton, OK. This role involves dispensing medications, counseling patients, and supervising pharmacy support staff, ensuring quality service in daily prescription processing.

Location:

• Lawton, OK, with some travel required to Carnegie and Anadarko

Schedule:

• 8-hour day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Process daily prescription orders from healthcare providers accurately and efficiently
• Dispense new prescriptions and refills according to pharmacy regulations and protocols
• Deliver comprehensive patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and adherence
• Oversee pharmacy support personnel to maintain smooth pharmacy operations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
• Active pharmacy license in any state, with ability to obtain local licensure if needed
• Solid knowledge of retail pharmacy operations, prescription processing, and patient counseling
• Strong communication skills and ability to oversee support staff effectively
• Flexibility to float between Lawton, Carnegie, and Anadarko as required

This opportunity is a one-year contract with the possibility of four one-year extensions, starting as soon as possible.
