Inpatient Pharmacist in Norman, OK

A healthcare facility in Norman, OK seeks two inpatient pharmacists for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity starting November 9. This role involves working day and evening shifts, 4 days per week, with 10-hour shifts from 12:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The facility operates a 450-bed hospital environment and uses EPIC for electronic medical records along with Pyxis and Carousel automation systems. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties including medication dispensing and supervision of pharmacy technicians
• Prepare and verify intravenous (IV) medications hands-on
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for medication records and documentation
• Operate Pyxis and Carousel automation systems effectively
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and maintain patient safety standards

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience, including IV preparation
• Valid pharmacist license for the state of Oklahoma
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians and collaborate with healthcare staff
