Inpatient Pharmacist | Norristown, Pennsylvania

A hospital inpatient pharmacist role is available on a contract basis beginning August 3rd for 13 to 26 weeks in Norristown, PA. This position involves reviewing and dispensing medication orders to ensure safety, accuracy, and appropriateness, directly supporting patient care alongside the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Review medication orders for correct drug, dose, route, and frequency.
• Assess patient allergies, medical history, drug interactions, and lab results prior to dispensing.
• Manage inventory control to maintain medication supply.
• Provide drug information and support to healthcare professionals.
• Supervise pharmacy students and technicians during medication preparation.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on care planning and discharge coordination.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, AM shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 40 hours per week

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (required)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred
• Minimum of 1 year hospital pharmacy experience or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting preferred
• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
