The role involves working Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., focusing mainly on retail prescription verification with some responsibilities related to checking non-sterile compounded prescriptions that require accurate mathematical calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify retail prescriptions predominantly without extensive patient counseling.
  • Review non-sterile compounded prescriptions, performing necessary calculations on formulas.
  • Accurately process orders using the Pioneer RX system.
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy protocols and standards.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Valid Virginia pharmacy license.
  • Proven experience in retail pharmacy settings.
  • Familiarity with non-sterile compounding is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency using Pioneer RX or similar pharmacy order entry systems.
