Inpatient Outpatient Pharmacist - Oakland, California

A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist specializing in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. This role is based in the Bay Area, California, with assignments primarily at a county medical center.

Schedule/Hours:

• 4x10-hour shifts per week, daytime mid shifts
• Alternating start times between 7 AM to 10 PM (shifts include 7-5, 8-6, 9-7, 12-10)
• Every third weekend required
• No overnight shifts

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pharmacy services in both retail and inpatient hospital units
• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently within a fast-paced acute care environment
• Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
• Participate in clinical rounds and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records for medication management and documentation

Qualifications:

• Current California Pharmacist License
• Minimum of 2 years experience in acute care hospital pharmacy
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health systems
• Flexibility to rotate between retail and inpatient pharmacy settings

This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting with a structured schedule and diverse responsibilities. Start date is immediate, with an assignment duration of approximately 13 weeks and potential for extension.
