A healthcare opportunity is available for a Travel Night Shift Pharmacist at a Level III trauma center with 120 beds in Norfolk, NE. This contract role is ideal for pharmacists seeking to contribute their expertise in a fast-paced inpatient environment.

Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off (Wednesday to Tuesday)
• Night shift: 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate medication orders and perform kinetic dosing
• Review and check medications prior to distribution
• Respond to nursing staff inquiries regarding medications
• Oversee medication compounding during night hours
• Manage outpatient prescription filling for Emergency Department patients during the shift

Technology Experience:

• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system (training available for those without prior experience)
• Work with the Pyxis automated medication dispensing system

Support:

• Collaborate closely with a pharmacy technician for assistance during the night shift

Qualifications:

• Active Nebraska pharmacist license is required
• At least one year of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC system is a plus, but not mandatory as training will be provided
