A Specialty/Mail Order Pharmacy in Ontario, CA seeks a Staff Pharmacist for a full-time, contract position lasting 13+ weeks. This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekends off. Key Responsibilities: Accurately fill prescriptions following provider instructions
Conduct clinical drug interaction screenings to ensure patient safety
Provide patient counseling on medication usage and potential side effects
Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and support staff
Maintain clear communication with patients and clinic personnel
Ensure accuracy in billing documentation and inventory control
Support efficient medication fulfillment and delivery processes
Assist in facilitating new business and timely service
Participate in annual budget forecasting and manage operational budgets

Qualifications: Current, active California Pharmacist license without negative history
Preferred experience in specialty, mail order, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy settings
Minimum of 1 year retail or ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
