Located in Ozark, MO, this contract opportunity offers a rewarding role in an Acute Care Pharmacy within a major hospital setting. Four pharmacist openings are available across various shifts, providing flexibility for professionals seeking a dynamic hospital inpatient experience.
Position Overview:
- Specialty: Pharmacist Hospital Inpatient
- Number of Openings: 4 (1 first shift, 2 second shifts, 1 third shift)
- Shift Details: First Shift: 10-hour shifts, 7 days on, 7 days off Second Shift: 10-hour shifts, 7 days on, 7 days off Third Shift: Night shift, 7 days on, 7 days off
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks with strong possibility of extension
- Location: Acute Care Pharmacy, Ozark, MO
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize EPIC system for medication verification and preparation.
- Verify and check medications including IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens.
- Ensure crash carts and prepack items are correctly stocked.
- Coordinate workflow within the central pharmacy.
- Oversee medication product inventory accuracy.
- Manage workflow and assist pharmacy technicians with task prioritization.
- Support central pharmacy operations while other pharmacists focus on order review.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a valid Missouri Pharmacist License.
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; new graduates are welcomed.
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system.
- Strong organizational skills to coordinate pharmacy workflows.
- Ability to train effectively, with a 2-3 week onboarding focusing on product verification.
Team Environment:
- Central pharmacy comprises 5 pharmacists and 10 technicians on day shift.
- Evening shift staffed by 2 pharmacists and 5-6 technicians.
- Role involves primary oversight of central pharmacy operations without direct supervisory responsibilities.
