Pharmacist | Papillion, Nebraska

A 13-week night shift pharmacist opportunity is available at a 120-bed Level III trauma center in Norfolk, NE. This contract position offers an ASAP start and involves working a schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off (Wednesday through Tuesday), from 8 PM to 7 AM. The role includes the support of a pharmacy technician during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Validate medication orders and perform kinetic dosing calculations
• Conduct medication checks before distribution to ensure accuracy and safety
• Respond to nursing staff inquiries regarding medications
• Oversee medication compounding procedures during night hours
• Manage outpatient prescription filling for emergency department patients

Qualifications:

• Active Nebraska pharmacist license required
• Minimum of one year of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Experience with EPIC IT system preferred; training available for the right candidate
• Familiarity with Pyxis automated dispensing system is a plus
