Hospital Pharmacist - Philadelphia, PA

A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available in a vibrant hospital setting offering the chance to work across multiple units including the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU). This role provides diverse clinical experience beyond a single specialty area, fostering professional growth on multidisciplinary teams and participation in acute patient care scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma.

Location: State College, Pennsylvania a scenic area known for its community atmosphere and home to Penn State University. Relocation support is available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and enter medication orders, review profiles for clinical appropriateness.
• Provide medication-related clinical services tailored to patient needs.
• Engage in team rounds and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Conduct drug therapy monitoring and manage pharmacist consults per protocol.
• Participate in acute care events within the ED and ICU settings.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) residency or a minimum of 3 years of current clinical pharmacy experience.
• Active PA pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Experience with Meditech IT systems preferred.

Schedule:

• Variable days/afternoons, primarily 8-hour shifts during the day.

This permanent direct-hire position offers compensation commensurate with experience, with a range between $108,000 and $169,000 annually and a midpoint around $139,000.
