Travel Hospital Pharmacist in Philadelphia, PA

Support patient care as a Travel Pharmacist in a 160-bed community hospital located near Lebanon, PA. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to utilize your hospital pharmacy expertise, working primarily with EPIC and Pyxis systems to ensure accurate medication management and patient safety.

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nursing staff, and applying pharmacokinetics principles in clinical decision-making. Exposure to chemotherapy protocols is a valuable asset for this position.

A typical schedule consists of 40 hours per week, with shifts primarily between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., including every third or fourth Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position starts as soon as possible and has a duration of 13 weeks or more.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
• Hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in a similar community hospital setting
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Familiarity with chemotherapy medications and protocols is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams
