Retail Pharmacist - Piedmont, South Dakota

An urgent opportunity is available for an experienced Retail Pharmacist to support a grocery store-based pharmacy in South Dakota. This contract position offers a 13+ week assignment with flexible scheduling of up to 40 hours per week, providing a dynamic retail pharmacy environment.

Location: South Dakota
Schedule:

• MondayFriday: 9:00 AM7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM3:00 PM
  Assignment Duration: 13+ week contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify prescriptions to ensure patient safety
• Review and verify work performed by pharmacy technicians
• Provide detailed patient counseling to support medication adherence and health outcomes
• Respond professionally to pharmacy and patient phone inquiries
• Assist with daily retail pharmacy operations, maintaining workflow efficiency
• Collaborate with and support the Pharmacist-in-Charge on additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active South Dakota Pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of recent retail pharmacy experience
• Strong communication skills with a commitment to excellent patient service
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a pharmacy team
