Hospital Pharmacist | Pineville, Louisiana

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to work at a 200+ bed community hospital located in Pineville, LA. The role involves working four 10-hour shifts per week, with a rotating schedule that may include 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM shifts, including every other weekend coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders and ensure accuracy
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee daily operations
• Provide consultations to physicians and nursing staff
• Participate in pharmacokinetic monitoring and patient care activities
• Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management

Qualifications:

• Current pharmacist license in Louisiana
• Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating schedules with varied start times as noted
• Every other weekend coverage
