Hospital Pharmacist in Pineville, LA

An opportunity is available for a pharmacist to provide critical support within a 200+ bed community hospital setting. This 13-week contract role is based in Pineville, LA, and offers the chance to engage in a dynamic hospital pharmacy environment using advanced IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis.

Schedule & Hours:

• 4 shifts per week, each 10 hours long
• Rotating schedule with shifts ranging between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM
• Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance and efficiency
• Consult directly with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapy
• Participate in pharmacokinetic assessments and adjust treatments as necessary
• Maintain documentation and communicate effectively with healthcare teams

Desired Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in Louisiana
• Current hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
