A leading medical center in State College, PA is seeking dedicated Clinical Pharmacists to provide expert care across multiple critical care units, including the Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and participate in the antibiotic stewardship team. This direct hire opportunity offers a varied clinical experience not often found in larger hospitals that assign pharmacists to a single unit. Here, you will develop your clinical skills by working in diverse areas and managing complex patient cases.

Location: State College, Pennsylvania a vibrant community known for its beautiful surroundings and home to Penn State University. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter and verify medication orders, ensure appropriateness of medication profiles, and provide clinical services tailored to patient needs.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary rounds and teams within assigned practice areas.
  • Monitor drug therapy and manage pharmacist-led consults following established protocols.
  • In ED and critical care settings, support acute patient scenarios such as cardiac arrest, sepsis, trauma, stroke, and more.
  • Contribute to antibiotic stewardship initiatives to promote safe and effective medication use.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
  • Completion of PGY1 residency or a minimum of three years clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Experience with Meditech IT systems is advantageous.

This role offers primarily day and afternoon 8-hour shifts with a flexible schedule. Competitive compensation ranges from $108,000 to $169,000 annually, with a midpoint around $139,000. Relocation support may be provided on a case-by-case basis.
