Hospital Pharmacist - Pollock, Louisiana

An immediate opening is available for a hospital pharmacist at a well-established 200+ bed community hospital in Pollock, LA. This 13-week contract position offers a dynamic and engaging environment where you will play a critical role in patient care and medication management.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
• Providing expert consultation to physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy
• Applying pharmacokinetics knowledge to optimize patient treatment plans
• Utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation

The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, with varying and rotating hours that may include 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM shifts. Expect to work every other weekend, allowing for balanced work-life integration.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana pharmacist license
• Current hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis pharmacy systems is a plus
