Hospital Pharmacist - Pollock, Louisiana

A rewarding pharmacist opportunity is available at a well-established 200+ bed community hospital located in Pollock, LA. This contract position offers a dynamic environment where you will play a vital role in patient care within a busy hospital setting. The assignment begins ASAP and spans 13 weeks, providing a chance to apply and expand your hospital pharmacy skills.

Schedule & Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating shifts between 6:00 AM-4:30 PM, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM-11:00 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required

Key Responsibilities:

• Order verification to ensure accuracy and safety
• Supervising pharmacy technicians and coordinating workflow
• Consulting with physicians and nurses regarding medication management
• Applying pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient therapy
• Utilizing hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Louisiana pharmacist license
• Recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals effectively
