Per Diem Retail Pharmacist - Portage, MI

This position offers an opportunity to support a behavioral health facility as a Pharmacist on a per diem basis, with ongoing shifts every Friday or Monday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This role plays a critical part in ensuring effective pharmaceutical services within a specialized healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities: Provide onsite pharmacy coverage every Friday or Monday, depending on scheduling preferences. Manage order entry using HCS software (experience preferred). Utilize Med-dispense site automation systems to support medication distribution. Perform staffing duties, including stocking and approving medication orders. Be available for on-call support from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM and again until 7:30 PM. Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and safety standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience: Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Michigan. Proven pharmacy experience, preferably in retail and behavioral health settings. Familiarity with order entry systems (HCS preferred) and automated medication dispensing technology. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medication management. Ability to work independently during scheduled shifts and respond promptly during on-call hours.

Schedule: Fridays or Mondays: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM onsite. On-call hours: 5:00 AM 8:00 AM and until 7:30 PM.
