Travel Inpatient Pediatric Pharmacist | Providence, Rhode Island

This travel pharmacist opportunity is tailored for professionals with inpatient experience and some exposure to pediatric and womens health pharmacy practice.

Position Overview:

• Start Date: November 2
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Mix of day and evening shifts, rotating weekends, five 8-hour shifts per week
• Role flexibility includes clinical staffing in relevant specialty areas or operational positions such as Pharmacist in Charge or sterile processing within the dispensing pharmacy, depending on experience and competency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmaceutical care in inpatient settings, including pediatric and womens health environments
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal medication management and patient safety
• Manage sterile processing and oversee dispensing pharmacy operations, as applicable
• Utilize electronic systems such as EPIC and Pyxis to support pharmacy functions effectively

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years inpatient pharmacy experience
• PGY1 residency training preferred; alternatively, 2-3 years relevant experience without residency
• Previous exposure to pediatric and womens health pharmacy practice beneficial
• Ability to acquire a Connecticut pharmacist license rapidly (within 7-10 days)
• Competency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
