Hospital Pharmacist | Renton, Washington

A healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated Night Pharmacist for a 13-week contract with the potential to convert to a permanent role. This position supports a 230-bed acute care hospital and involves working 12-hour night shifts on a 7-on, 7-off schedule from 6 pm to 6 am. The ideal candidate will bring hospital pharmacy experience and a Washington State Pharmacist License.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and provide guidance on daily operations
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to optimize pharmacotherapy
• Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and adjustments for complex cases
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Washington State Pharmacist License required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and adaptable to a dynamic clinical environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly beneficial

Location:

• Position based in Yakima, WA with potential for travel or relocation support

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts, 7 nights on followed by 7 nights off (6 pm to 6 am)
