Hospital Pharmacist | Richmond, Virginia

A hospital located in Richmond, VA, is seeking two Pharmacists for night shifts at a 460-bed Level I trauma center. These positions require working a week-on, week-off schedule with shifts from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM. This contract role offers exposure to a busy healthcare environment with diverse clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure safe medication distribution
• Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient medication therapy
• Manage pharmacokinetics and therapeutic drug monitoring
• Utilize hospital pharmacy systems including Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis

Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Pharmacist license is required
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload during night shifts
