Inpatient Pharmacist | Rio Rancho, New Mexico

An inpatient overnight pharmacist position is available at a hospital in New Mexico with a contract duration of 13 weeks starting September 28. This role operates on a 7-on/7-off schedule, from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM, specializing in pharmacy services within hospital inpatient settings.

Location: Rio Rancho, NM (with responsibilities at multiple campuses including Womens and Westside)

Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off
• Night shift from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispensing medications in an inpatient hospital setting
• Utilizing automated systems such as Pyxis and Carousel for medication management
• Supervising pharmacy technicians and verifying their work
• Engaging in typical inpatient pharmacy duties to support patient care
• IV medication experience is an advantage
• Supporting pharmacy services at both Womens and Westside campuses as required

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active New Mexico pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC
• Open to first-time travel pharmacists willing to relocate temporarily
