A specialty/mail order pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented pharmacist for a 13+ week contract assignment in Ontario, CA. This full-time role involves working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in a focused, fast-paced environment dedicated to safe and accurate medication dispensing. Weekends are off, allowing for a balanced schedule.

Responsibilities include:
Accurately filling prescriptions based on prescriber instructions
Conducting clinical drug screenings to prevent adverse interactions
Counseling patients on medication use and side effects
Supervising pharmacy technicians, interns, and support staff
Communicating clearly with patients and clinic personnel
Maintaining billing documentation and inventory control
Supporting efficient medication fulfillment and delivery
Facilitating new business and ensuring timely services
Participating in pharmacy budget projections and managing operational budgets

Desired Qualifications:
Active California Pharmacist license in good standing with no negative history
Experience in specialty, mail order, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy preferred
Minimum of 1 year retail or ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with patients and healthcare teams
Keen attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively
Analytical mindset to maintain safety and efficiency in medication dispensing
