Travel Hospital Pharmacist in Saint James, MO

A travel Pharmacist position is available at a well-established hospital with 250 beds, utilizing EPIC and Omnicell technologies. This role offers a chance to engage in a dynamic hospital setting, supporting patient care through comprehensive pharmaceutical services.

Location: Rolla, MO
Schedule: 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM, 7 days on, 7 days off (Monday through Sunday rotation)
Duration: 13 weeks with potential for temp-to-hire opportunity
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification to ensure accuracy and safety of medication orders
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and provide guidance as needed
• Conduct pharmacokinetic monitoring and assessments
• Collaborate and consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication regimens
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Missouri Pharmacist license
• Prior experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Omnicell systems is beneficial
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clinical staff
• Ability to manage workload efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
