An opportunity is available for a Night Shift Pharmacist at a 300-bed community hospital in San Antonio, TX. This 13-week contract position offers a consistent schedule with 7 days on, 7 days off, working 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. The role demands a proactive pharmacist to ensure high-quality pharmaceutical care during night hours in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency
• Collaborate and consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient drug dosing
• Utilize Cerner IT systems for documentation and medication management

Qualifications:

• Active Texas Pharmacist license is required
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience is highly preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner or similar hospital information systems is a plus
• Strong communication skills to facilitate effective interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to work independently during night shifts
