Mail Order Pharmacist | San Bernardino, California

A specialty/mail order pharmacy is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist for a full-time contract assignment lasting 13+ weeks. This role demands a detail-oriented professional skilled in multitasking and effective communication with patients and clinic staff to ensure safe, accurate medication dispensing within a dynamic pharmacy environment.

Location:

• Ontario, CA

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Full-time, 37.5 to 40 hours per week
• Closed on weekends

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions in accordance with practitioner instructions
• Conduct clinical drug screenings to prevent adverse drug interactions
• Counsel patients on medication usage and potential side effects
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and support staff
• Communicate professionally with patients and clinical personnel
• Maintain precise billing documentation and manage inventory records
• Support efficient medication fulfillment and delivery processes
• Facilitate new business initiatives ensuring timely service delivery
• Participate in annual pharmacy budget forecasting and manage operational budgets within guidelines

Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist license in good standing with no negative history
• Preferred experience in specialty, mail order, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy settings
• Minimum of 1 year retail or ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to foster positive interactions with patients and healthcare staff
• High attention to detail with strong analytical capabilities
• Proven ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments
