Travel Hospital Pharmacist | San Francisco, California
A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Ft Bragg, CA, offering a 26-week assignment with day shifts on a 4x10 schedule. This role involves providing essential pharmacy services within a hospital setting, contributing to patient care and medication management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure operational efficiency
- Collaborate and consult with nurses and physicians regarding medication therapy
- Assist in chemotherapy preparation and protocols (experience preferred)
- Utilize Cerner and support the transition to EPIC electronic health record systems
- Manage medication dispensing through Omnicell automated systems
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active California pharmacist license required
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience highly desirable
- Familiarity with Cerner and EPIC systems preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work full-time and reliably manage a 4 days/week, 10 hours/day schedule
