Outpatient Inpatient Pharmacist | San Mateo, California

This position is for a Pharmacist with acute care hospital pharmacy experience at a medical center in San Mateo County, CA. The role offers a dynamic schedule of four 10-hour day shifts per week with alternating start times, ranging from 7 AM to 10 PM, with no overnight shifts. Every third weekend is required. Candidates should be prepared to rotate between retail and inpatient pharmacy settings, as this is a key component of the position.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacist License
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely in both inpatient and retail settings
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
• Manage medication inventory and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations
• Utilize EPIC system for patient documentation, order verification, and clinical monitoring
• Participate actively in weekend rotations and shift changes as scheduled
