Oncology Pharmacist | Santa Barbara, California

An opportunity is available for a Clinical Specialist Pharmacist with expertise in Oncology to support a leading non-profit health system serving a vibrant coastal community. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver thorough medication management including lab test ordering, therapy selection, and adverse event management.
• Verify chemotherapy orders and protocols for accuracy, appropriate dosing, and patient safety.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment regimens, side effect management, and medication adherence.
• Collaborate closely with providers and nursing staff during clinical rounds to inform treatment decisions.
• Participate in clinical trials, oversee investigational drug use, and assist in developing institutional oncology protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• PharmD or Bachelors degree in Pharmacy.
• Eligibility to obtain a California pharmacist license.
• Completion of PGY2 residency or oncology fellowship, or PGY1 plus three years as a clinical oncology specialist, or a minimum of five years oncology clinical specialist experience.
• Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) is preferred but not mandatory.
