Chemo Pharmacist - Santa Maria, CA

A California-licensed pharmacist is needed to support an infusion center serving the Central Coast area. This contract position involves working primarily in Santa Maria, with possible travel between pharmacies located approximately 20 miles apart in Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo. The role focuses heavily on preparation of intravenous chemotherapy admixtures within an integrated health system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense IV chemotherapy and other infusion medications in compliance with safety and quality protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery for oncology patients
• Maintain sterile compounding standards and pharmacy inventory management
• Provide expertise related to chemo admixture procedures and safety

Qualifications:

• Valid California pharmacist license required
• PGY1 residency or at least 1 year of inpatient or infusion pharmacy experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience and comfort working with chemotherapy medications and admixtures
• Ability to work full-time during standard weekday day shifts (Monday through Friday)
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards in sterile environments

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, daytime hours

• Based in Santa Maria, CA with occasional work at nearby pharmacy approximately 20 miles away
