URGENT NEED PHARMACIST | WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS IL

RPh on the Go is seeking an Illinois-licensed Pharmacist to support warehouse pharmacy operations. This is a great opportunity for a pharmacist with IV medication knowledge who enjoys inventory management, medication safety, and working behind the scenes to support patient care.

Position Details

Contract: 6 months
Schedule: MondayFriday
Hours: 10:30 AM7:00 PM
Setting: Pharmacy Warehouse

Requirements

Active, clear Illinois Pharmacist (RPh) License
Some knowledge of IV medications
Strong attention to detail and medication safety
Ability to work effectively with pharmacy technicians and operations teams

Responsibilities

Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty medications
Manage inventory levels, ordering, and medication supplies while minimizing waste and expired products
Ensure proper storage conditions and compliance with USP standards and state/federal regulations
Verify medication orders before preparation or shipment
Supervise pharmacy technicians involved in inventory, picking, packing, and shipping
Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to ensure medications and supplies are available for patient orders
Review controlled substance inventory and maintain required documentation
Perform cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits
Work closely with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to ensure timely medication delivery
Use pharmacy software and inventory management systems to track medications and supplies
