Travel Pediatric Inpatient Pharmacist - Schenectady, NY

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a major level I trauma center with a 1500-bed childrens hospital, specializing in pediatric and inpatient hospital pharmacy care. This role involves flexible responsibilities, including clinical or operational pharmacy work, tailored to your experience and competence. Candidates will serve a complex patient population, including children's and women's health, gaining exposure to diverse pharmacological practices in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Schenectady, NY
Facility: Large pediatric and trauma hospital
Duration: 13 weeks, starting November 2
Schedule:

• Mix of day and evening shifts
• Rotating weekends
• Five 8-hour shifts per week

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years inpatient pharmacy experience
• PGY1 residency training preferred; candidates without residency should have 23 years of experience
• Experience in pediatric and womens health pharmacy preferred
• Ability to obtain CT pharmacist license within 710 days
• Experience with EPIC and Pyxis systems

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications in a hospital inpatient pediatric setting
• Provide clinical pharmacy services in relevant pediatric and womens health areas or manage operational pharmacy functions such as pharmacist-in-charge or sterile processing
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication management and safety
• Participate in rotations that include both clinical and dispensing pharmacy functions, adapted to skills and experience
