Hospital Pharmacist - Seattle, Washington

An acute care hospital with 230 beds is seeking a skilled Night Pharmacist for a 13-week contract, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role. This position offers the opportunity to provide essential pharmaceutical care during the overnight shift in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Location: Yakima, WA
Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off
• 12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with precision and clinical judgment
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and compliance
• Consult collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapy
• Monitor pharmacokinetics and adjust therapy as necessary
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems effectively to manage medication dispensing and documentation

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Washington State Pharmacist License
• Experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting, particularly acute care
• Willingness and ability to work night shifts consistently
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
