Hospital Pharmacist | Sellersburg, Indiana

A 200-bed community hospital located in New Albany, IN, is seeking a skilled Pharmacist for a contract opportunity lasting 13 weeks or longer. This role involves working in a dynamic hospital setting just across the Ohio River from Louisville, KY, providing essential pharmacy services that support patient care at a trusted healthcare facility.

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety, performing final checks on medications dispensed from the pharmacy, and occasional sterile compounding activities. Collaboration with pharmacy technicians will be important, especially when reviewing sterile products prepared by others. This position utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records and Pyxis for medication dispensing, supporting efficient and safe pharmacy operations.

Schedule and Hours:

• Rotating 1st and 2nd shifts
• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• 8 days on, 6 days off rotation

Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency in medication order verification and sterile compounding
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably EPIC
• Experience working with automated dispensing systems such as Pyxis
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
