A full-time Pharmacy Supervisor position is available at a compounding pharmacy specializing in animal health. This onsite role offers the opportunity to lead a skilled team of pharmacists and contribute to the production of high-quality compounded preparations. The position supports daily operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and champions continuous improvement initiatives within the compounding pharmacy.

Location: Bakersfield, CA
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:15 AM5:15 PM
Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Compensation: $160,000$185,000 base salary + bonus, based on experience
Benefits: Eligible

Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists focused on quality and productivity
Oversee daily compounding operations and workflow management
Ensure full compliance with USP <795>, <797>, <800>, state board regulations, and 503A standards
Maintain accurate training documentation and enforce proper compounding procedures
Assist with drug selection for dispensing and compounded preparations tailored to veterinary use
Identify opportunities for process enhancements and formulation improvements
Collaborate cross-functionally with pharmacy leadership and other departments
Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all company policies and relevant regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

Active California Pharmacist license in good standing
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience managing staff in a pharmacy lab environment
25 years of compounding pharmacy experience, preferably in animal health
Strong familiarity with USP <795>, <797>, <800>, State Board regulations, and 503A guidelines
Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring capabilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
