IV Sterile Compounding Retail Pharmacist | Shafter, California

A full-time opportunity is available for a skilled Compounding Pharmacist to support a pharmacy in Shafter, CA. This contract assignment is set to continue through July 2026, with the possibility of permanent placement for the right candidate. There is an immediate need for a Retail Pharmacist focused solely on dispensing in a temporary role, alongside the compounding pharmacist responsibilities.

Responsibilities include overseeing both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, performing final prescription verifications, and accurately filling, labeling, and prepackaging medications. You will be responsible for clear communication with healthcare providers regarding prescription orders, clarifications, and refills, as well as counseling patients and addressing their questions. Maintaining compliance with USP 795, 797, 800 standards and Board of Pharmacy regulations is essential.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM
• Full-time through July 2026

Qualifications:

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy degree
• Active California Pharmacist license
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, with a strong preference for compounding expertise
• Retail pharmacy experience will also be considered for dispensing roles
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
