Hospital Pharmacist in Sparks, NV

An opportunity exists for a knowledgeable Pharmacist to support a 175-bed hospital in Sparks, NV. This contract position offers a night shift schedule with 10-hour shifts on a 7-on, 7-off rotation. The assignment duration is 13 weeks with a start date as soon as possible.

The hospital utilizes EPIC and Pyxis systems, providing a modern technology environment to support clinical operations. In this role, you will conduct order verification, provide supervision to pharmacy technicians, consult with physicians and nursing staff, and manage pharmacokinetic services. Your expertise will contribute to safe and efficient medication use in a dynamic hospital setting.

Ideal candidates will hold an active Nevada pharmacist license and bring solid hospital pharmacy experience. Comfort with night shifts and the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams are essential. Previous exposure to EPIC and Pyxis systems will be highly valuable.

Schedule:

• Night shifts, 10 hours each
• 7 consecutive nights on, followed by 7 nights off

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with attention to detail and safety
• Oversee pharmacy technician activities to maintain workflow and compliance

Qualifications:

• Current Nevada pharmacist license
