Hospital Pharmacist - Stafford, Virginia

A leading 400-bed medical center in Northern Virginia is seeking a skilled pharmacist to support inpatient hospital pharmacy operations. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a dynamic clinical environment utilizing advanced technology including EPIC and Pyxis systems. The position is based in the Fredericksburg/Stafford, VA area with a start date ASAP.

Schedule & Hours:

• Primarily 8-hour second shifts
• Flexible scheduling within shift requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inpatient order verification with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians in daily activities
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care
• Provide pharmacokinetic evaluations and dosing recommendations
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and medication safety standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist licensure with experience in hospital/inpatient pharmacy
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems preferred
• Strong communication skills for interprofessional consultation
• Ability to manage workflow efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
