Hospital Pharmacist in Sugar Land, TX

A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacist with hospital experience at a large, busy 500+ bed medical center hospital in Texas. The role involves delivering clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient setting, ensuring safe and effective medication use, and collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Verify and dispense medications accurately in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Monitor patient medication therapies and provide clinical interventions as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Utilize electronic medical record systems, with preference for EPIC experience.
• Provide education to healthcare staff and patients regarding medication use.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Texas Pharmacist license.
• Texas Intravenous (IV) Certification.
• Minimum of 3 years inpatient pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy healthcare environment.

Schedule:

• Shifts available from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Location:

• Texas Medical Center area, Sugar Land, TX.
